hello, i have a problem with my indo tiger dat- i was feeding my community today when i noticed that he has something in his right eye. not sure if its a parasite or cloudy eye or injury. he also is not eating. i will try to get a pixs but he just moves so fast around the tank. i check water parameters,ph 7.2, ammo .02,nitrate and nitrite is 0. anything i can do if it either an injury or disease thanks in advance

Do water changes. That's your best defense mechanism. You have detected ammonia. Water changes is the only way to push it back to zero. What test kit are you using?

i did 10% water change 2 dyas ago-its after i did water change when i noticed -got api master kit- i'll start a salt remedy and heat up the tank-tank is 75g ammonia is .02

well, got bad news- what ever my dat had was contagoius all of the fish in my tank started developing the same thing- he was floating this morning along with my 15' silver arowana, 7' black arowana, 2x 4'dats, 7' king pleco only ones left are 4' common pleco,2x 4' tiger oscars and 4' green terror. i took what survived and cleaned out the tank...WOW i'm devastated i've had these guys close to a year!!!!!

Do water changes daily. What is your regular maintenance schedule? Tank size? Feeding schedule?

Any other symptoms aside from the eye? Sounds like bacterial infection here. They progress quickly in high temperature. I'd keep the temperature steady at 76 degrees Fahrenheit for now. If bacterial infection is indeed the cause which is usually characterized by white patches around their bodies, clamped fins and listlessness, then use Maracyn as your treatment.

recheck ammonia spike to high level-i place what was left to my 20gal. my tank is 75 gal water changes every week 10%,had the tank for a year. i'l do water changes today to drop down ammonia level. anything else i can do to speed it up???
other symptoms were scales white/ashy, fins clamped, some had bubble eyes, gills had wht patches-it was horrible to watch the fish die out-especially the silver aro-he jumped out twice when i open the top to change water -he died internal hemorrhage

Your problem was ammo. It should be at 0 at all times. You had a small tank with too many fish. Your filtration could not keep up with the bioload, and the small water changes did not help, especially since they were done only once a week.

My guess was ammo spike.
