Ok , first of normaly they dont need a place to get out of the water but if you have a female then you need a spacious place for her to get out of the water with sand so that she can lay her eggs.
Next thing that is necessary is that you understend just how large of a tank this guys need. I would say that a 1000 liter tank is the minimum, wich isnt surprising considering how active they are and how big they get. Have you got any turtle experience? This is one of the hardest turtles to take care of, nothing like sliders or painteds. They need high temps in order to trive and very clean and alcaline water. This is why I only recomend this species to very experienced turtle keepers whit a lot of space. Also their purchase in the US nowadays is of questionable legalty. But anyways read some care sheets, there are some pretty good outhere;)

FRTs are very cool!
