Has anyone bred a cross between these two?
I have and they are still juveniles and are showing signs of great shape and colours!
They have the average shape of the NC but with a higher fin/body shape.
They also have stripes like a convict but are iridescant blue with pinkish highlights coming through underneath and into the body!
Just want to know how they will look as adults and whether anyone has experiance with this cross?

I have never seen them crossed before, but I like the way they look. Are you selling them later?
 
will keep you posted and get some better pics up too!
not for sale as of yet, wan't to keep 1st gen, 2nd lot of fry will be for sale in the future!

they are defiantly very interesting. i noticed the green/whitish blaze down the sides of most. some nice colors on fins. strangely convict looking with overall appearance. bodies are a little longer.

do these fish ever turn black? like maybe the dominate one will show a different coloration then the rest?
 
he means hoplarchus psittacus "the true parrot"

I thought he meant nicaraguensis but I understand now..
