New fish! Parrot cichlid(Hoplarchus psittacus) and Red severum

I picked up a Wild Parrot Cichlid (the real parrot fish) and a Red severum I haven't got a new fish in a while and these should go great with the current stock. well here are the pics.. and an update on my electric blues.

I'll look around for pics of bigger ones. These pics don't do either fish justice both were in the back of the tank because they are new. The electric blues were only thinking of their stomaches like always and it was hard to get pictures because they were in the way begging.
 
Nice! I love parrots. what a nice surprise to see a real parrot when I opened this thread!

Hoplarchus Psittacus are HOT.... Your going to love that fish as it ages. One of the coolest looking SA cichlids IMO. Loads of personality and will hold it's own no problem!
 
Where did them Jd's come from?

I want them or some like them.

I got them from a small fish store in erie pa. I got them small this summer and grew them out starting with a 10 gallon to a 55 and sold the 55 when I was done. It would be very hard to find some that are the size of mine for sale. It isn't hard to grow them big just losts of clean water and plenty of high cal foods. These fish are pigs nobody eats before them.
