Hi MKF,
I am told that when sexing emperor scorpions(Pandinus imperator), it is best to examine the pectines(small comb-like appendages on the ventral abdomen (underside) of the scorpion).

However, how do I determine the sex base on the pectines(sizes, length etc?) ? Can anyone please guide me through with vivid pictorial examples too ? ;)

regards,

Correct, the pectins or "wings", is what I call them. I'm not a bug person by any means of the form, but the males have long "hairs" on their pectins, where as the females have short (less than 1/8") ones.

no prob, I used to have one god they make such an awesome pet. My mom hated him though! lol Now I have a turantula she hates that even more!
