.
ive heard a couple members on other sites about tanning there dats?

umm would like to know how you do that?

take them out and leave them in the sun?

Short answer...

Tanning is when you expose your fish to certain lights on a certain given schedule. The lights themselves isolate certain wave lengths and stimulate color within certain fish. Also done with most red aros.

FYI there is huge debate whether or not and how much exactly tanning really helps with color...

hmm really
why is that?

hmm I was also wondering would flower horn pellets help any?

why is that? simply put because there is no real way to measure how much lights help color within fish. from a scientific point of view there has also been no scientific study done on this, (that i know of). most tanners recognize that it does help bring out color but the question really is how much? 10%? 68.4%? .0084%? who's to say and truely know?

the general debate is genetics vs. environment and how much each variable comes into play.

hmm

ok

but it will brighten the fish up a little right?

thats all i care about
doesnt really matter that i have an orange swimming in my tank or not just as long as the fish isnt dark
