Female H. Labridens "Media Luna". One of two pair in a 180 gallon tank. The female stays in this coloration for extended periods of time. When they breed she will show that checkerboard yellow and black coloration.
The male on the other hand keeps this beautiful yellow color with blue cheeks. He's around 9" now. Female five or close.
Female Managuense. I get them into this pose by putting a pellet or two at the top of the tank.

Every once in a while she will get a particularly good hold on the male. It never lasts long....just enough to get his attention.
