Alrighty my red bellies are doing great in their 90 gallon!! i had some questions for some of you out there that have been doing this for awhile...
1. I have 2 "super reds" my other piranhas are just regular red bellies...but on one of my normal ones around his gill seems to be getting real red. like the super reds. this is the only piranha that is showing the extra red. i didnt know what that was about.
2. before the last couple of days 4 of my piranhas would stick together....and 1 was kinda a loner...now they are all of a sudden together like they were meant to be. i was wondering what might have changed?
3. It seems they started getting that way after i threw in a pumkinseed that i had caught. till now they were just kinda hangin out...so when i put the PS in they of course shoaled together and went to harass the ps. my piranhas are like maybe1 1/2 to 2 inches and the pumpkinseed is 3 or 4...ill upload some pics. could that fish have bonded them? i thought it was cool cuz they hadnt done that. since i removed the pumpkin seed they have been swimming back and forth up and done...all over the tank. very very active. i did add a bubble wall this week as well
4. i used to feed the 3x a day. now its like they are never hungry. some people suggested skipping a day or too. i think that coulda been a reason for them to be scouring the tank. im not sure. but it seems like they just dont wanna eat.
5. i also want to know if they look healthy. notice the one with the lil red patch.
