I aquired my first Marbled Motoro somewhere around 2 years ago. Since then I have been hunting high and low for nice looking Marbles. Any of you that have looked for quality specimens KNOW that a nice Marble is VERY hard to come by..... Let alone enough to attempt a small breeding project. First off I want to apologize for the pics. The camera is a piece of crap and I'll be honest with you.... I don't know the first thing about taking pics let alone decent ones. But I figured sharing sub-par pics is better than nothing........ So here they are..... My Marbelles......
First are the pond inhabitants (the bigger ones)......
Female. Scarred but still pretty in my book. She is my first Marbelle.
The big female
The Marbelle exception... Known cross between a pure Marble Motoro and a Motoro/Henlei (Looks an awfull lot like a Mantilla eh?)
The Males.......
The big male
The rowdy male
The Armatus eater (my personal favorite of the bigger ones)
Now for the gems..... The little babies in growout.....
I am clueless and speechless about this thing. All I know is it's wild caught, mature at 6 inches, and eats like no ray I've ever owned. He has a crazy black ring around the outer perimeter of his disk....hence the reason I call him "Zero"
Captive bred female
Her and Zero
And my 2 newest additions.... 2 Little captive bred males (only 4 inches across)
Didn't want the 2 little males to get the wrong impression while being kept together..... So here's the little lady they live with....
Well that's it for now.....Hopefully there will be new additions on a regular basis.
If anyone has any guesses as to exactly what "Zero" is I'de like to here them..... I know I have my theories but I'm more interested in yours.
