It is about 7 inches or so and eating like a champ. Last shot is really cool. Others are crappy as usual!:headbang2

looks great but does it have drop eye starting or is it just the way the pics were taken
 
I will watch for the drop eye but I dont think so. It was just as the arrow was swimming down. How can you prevent it?
 
I have also read about lighting which is something I have admittedly not worried about. I have him under 2 96 watt 10000k fro 10 hours a day. Should I change this?

People tend to not put too much lighting on XBs, especially from the top, as it will darken their top, making it harder for them to Cross. That is the main reason why you see XBs with dark top, not crossed, when they are in open ponds.
 
thats why i said is it the way the pic were taken mine look the same

as already stated its best to keep the lighting low as it tends to tan the back of a xback makeing it look more like RTG

once he gets to above 12inch you can state adding more light
