so i figured id start a new thread for my repair proces and to get help, so i got this tank for $50 but it leaks and im in the proccess of sealing it back up i got some weld on #16 and some acrylic triangles to place in the corner, my question if anyone can help is, who ever had it first for some reason used silicone on the seams to seal it before and im trying to take it all off so i can get the triangles in tight. So is there any chemical that i can use so i can get ALL the silicone off without damaging the acrylic?

im also going to be drilling holes through the back for the filters, does anyone know what i can use to have those holes water tight when i put the outlet inlets in?

Bulkheads come with gaskets, install them per the manufacturers specs (tightening) don't use any silicone as it changes the torque necessary to tighten and lets the gasket slip.
