Not sure what catfish you're talking about. Do you have a picture or scientific name? Maybe you are talking about a redtail catfish? Oh, by the way, this thread should be in the catfish forums.
I believe he means Arius graeffei. Also known as the Shark Cat & Sea Catfish. His is also about full size for the aquarium. This is a brackish water cat. Active mid-water swimmer.
I had 2 Salmon Tails until just recently when 1 of my big boys died
The other sulked for about a week and a half (missing the mate he'd grown up with from a baby no doubt) and has now bonded with me big time. He comes up to me when I open the lid to talk to him and as soon as I figure out how (pls excuse me for not doing it now... imma newb here) I'll post a pic of him coming up to the top of the tank to have a feed. He's lazy. He likes his pellets to be dropped into his open mouth lol. I'm amazed he bothers to hunt feeders sometimes
