Perhaps another less than intelligent question on my part. But is there a greater risk for illness if a fish eats an ill fish? My humu picasso trigger just ate an ill gobie. Should i be expecting something? The gobie looked to either have a case of severe ich or fungus and i had just began to medicate the entire display tank using paraguard. I had cleared the tank of most of the live rock, which left the gobies with less places to hide, which then made them easier prey. So it was a double edged sword. But the tank had to be treated, and there was no other way for me to do it. Any advice is greatly appreciated.

Difficult to say without know exactly what the problem was. Best bet is just to monitor the fish closely for the next few days.

without a hospital tank your only method is to monitor the tank for several week's as ich will live for some time in a free floating form when it lay's it cyst's. I would continue to treat and just keep a close eye on the tank and fish. And, will your doing that invest in a 20 gallon tank, heater, sponge filter, air pump and some 3 to 4 inch PVC pipe piece's for a place to hide and a regular light and start using that as a hospital tank so you don't have to go through the whole ordeal of removing live rock and moving invert's and this and that it will be the best $125.00 you spend.

haha the sad thing is i already i have a hospital/quarantine tank. So many of the fish were ill by the time i was ready to treat that it was easier for me to do what im doing now. Its all a pain in the ass. I will never not quarantine again. Even live rock will be getting re-cured and quarantined from now on haha

I preach quarantining new arrival's all the time you might wanna add a UV sterilizer to your main display to help with killing parasite's.
