I'm sure this thread will cause debate but anyway the fish is about 2 years old and was raised from 1-2". I purchased a few months ago from a great friend of a well-known and reputable vendor on here(remaining nameless they can chime in if they see this) It was of only a handful brought in back then and i'll try and find out from who. Location point was told to be rio negro and were brought as I believe an "unknown specie" or werent specified as "orinosensis then. I don't mind if people think otherwise and all and it's fine to say otherwise but keep it reasonable so we don't have another quarrel here... Thanks in advance guys and sorry for lousy camera pics. This guy has tons of blue the pics didnt pick up

HOLY CRAP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! thats gorgeous!!!!! i call dibbs if he's ever for sale!!!!!! :D

and he looks identical like the one in the web pic. according to world discus, that fish is from Tapera, Brazil. so my wild guess is the Rio Icana near Tapera, which branches off the Rio Negro

and please get us more pics! he looks super green in the that first pic :D

and check this out...notice how the Rio Meta and Rio Negro all appear to tie into the Rio Orinoco, where the orinos come from. with the close proximity of these rivers, youre bound to get some mixing of orino variants and even different species. this is why its so hard to tell orinos apart based off looks alone.
