My Tank Setup

IMO- get the 125. The pond will be a serious can of worms. You can always get your money back on a tank. Money spent on a pond is a loss, if not worse by lowering property value.

Its easier to watch the fish in the tank too. Unless its a pond with a window, sort of like what I built.

i wasn't going to have the drain in the bottom, it would be on the edge on one of the walls, it seems like a pretty simple idea, and she doesn't really have the space for a 125 upstairs. which is why i figured the pond in the basement would be a good idea.
