I just wanted to let everyone know what an amazing fish store this is. It's a small little store in Santa Monica that is owned by a chinese man. This man is a planted tank god. Almost all of his tanks are aquascaped and his stock is great. Mainly FW community planted tank appropriate fish, but he also has some pretty big fish like a pretty large arowana, a pretty large RTC, paddlefish, sturgeons, Oscars, a nice pike sp. He's got beautiful discus, a bunch of plecs, and all sorts of tetras. He has two huge breeder sized tank (at least 100g) for growing plants and growing corals. And unlike many LFS, he knows what I'm talking about. I spit any latin name at him and he knows what i'm talking about. Unfortunately he does not hold many cichlid sp. besides the dwarf cichlids like rams and whatnot. He is also the first LFS i've seen to sell ADA equiptment and tanks. Oh and all of his tanks are run on eheims and other canister filters and each planted tank has their own ADA CO2 system. He is the only one working there I think, but he does a great job. He's got a pretty thick chinese accent, but you can still decipher through it. And overall I saw maybe only 1 dead fish there, a farlowella catfish. His prices are more than reasonable and everything looks in tip-top shape. BTW, he even knows and recommended to me DIY CO2, so he's obviously not in it solely for the money and I could tell he loves his job. Bunch of beautifully scaped nanos.
