I don't understand why the japanese boats are still floating. There are enough eccentric boat owners. And I'm sure plenty of them care about whales. Why don't they go sink 'em? If I was a millionaire, I'd arm a boat and do it right the f now. Weapons are commonly available that could easily decimate several boats per trip. You've got fire, launched missiles, even hull bombs that could be attached by RC. But I was born poor, so my impact on the world will always be minimal. Oh well. This is one of those situations where it's really easy to say some people should die. There aren't many. Child rape is one. Beating up old people would be another. This is right up there.

If aliens were hovering in the sky slowly picking people off with laser guns, would you just stand there holding a little sign begging them to leave? No, you'd do something about it. Wouldn't you be grateful to any entity who blew their ships out of the sky? I know I would. These animals need help. Red tape isn't doing anything for them.

Really he has a point, not to the etreme of life lost but this is utter crap the japanese are pulling, no way do you need a thousand whales a year for research. It is just a matter of numbers. And you dont have to be a peta member to see this is wrong, personally i think Peta could shove it up their hypocritical asses

I don't really know much about peta (except for their retarded sea kittens BS) and I don't do politics. Everything political keeps changing and I forget what's going on. I just know that whales aren't a very renewable resource, and they are very sentient creatures. How can people kill and eat them? At least find a way to farm them out if you're somehow relying on them culturally. I'm not a complete hippie or anything. I even completed my training at a meat processing facility. But, on week three when we toured the kill floor, I couldn't look into the cows' eyes and know I would profit from their deaths. I mean, seeing them kill the first glorious free-range steed that was hung by his hind legs and stabbed in the chest seconds after having its brain punctured was a clear wake-up call. As it rolled toward the brain-scrambler, I was just certain someone would stop the line on account of how majestic this creature was. I understand that people need to eat, and that some beef (heck, even a little whale once in a while!) can fill that role in populations where human longevity is not a concern. But to be taking that meat from the wild, from the real spirit of the earth, is just too much to do for a large population.
 
hey they dont need the whales ur right. i think what theydo is wrong. but what ur talking about is terrorism. and its eco hippy style. so PETA.... or ALF....
 
What they are doing is terrorism. To retaliate is justice. How is this confusing?
