On behalf of Sunset Promotional Services, Inc. and staff, we are proud to introduce to you our latest creation for the aquatics hobby and supportive industries:

“THE AQUARIUM & POND EXPO" (APEX)

APEX will debut August 7th & 8th, 2010

at the Los Angeles County Fairplex in Pomona, California!

APEX Home page

APEX is an ALL-AQUATICS marketplace that is all-inclusive of Saltwater, Freshwater, Outdoor Pond, Planted-tank, and every other unique facet of the aquatics hobby.
The APEX venue is one giant marketplace where attendees may see and purchase various product, equipment, and livestock from retailers in the industry.
Also present will be various supportive manufacturers who wish to display the latest innovative equipment and hardware.
APEX is open-to-the-public and fully encourages entire families to participate and visit.

The main goals of APEX are as follows:

1) Host the LARGEST VENUE for retail commerce in the aquatics industry!
2) INTRIGUE and INSPIRE those who ponder nature’s aquatic environment!
3) Facilitate the ATTRACTION of NEW ENTRANTS into the aquatics hobby!

APEX is actually ONE of FOUR large attractions that makeup the “LA Pet Fair”:

All Four shows are operated independently but in conjunction with each other to bring you one giant animal exposition the same weekend, in the same location, and at the same time!
You will be given the opportunity to visit our closely-related cousins in the world of aquatics, reptiles, aviary, and perhaps acquire a new hobby in the process. We cordially invite you to learn more about APEX and perhaps include us as part of your family entertainment for summer 2010!

Saturday and Sunday should indeed be the same at APEX. If you've got the time to do both Monster Meet and APEX on Saturday, then by all means you are welcome. We are new here on MFK so we didn't want to step on anyone's toes right from the start. Rather than impact the Monster Meet in any negative way, we'd actually like to partner in some capacity to leverage even higher attendance to both events.

We would like someone of authority to contact us to discuss possible collaboration between APEX and the Monster Meet, if possible.

Aquarium & Pond Expo
The Aquarium & Pond Expo will debut for the first time at the LA Pet Fair August 7-8, 2010 at the Fairplex in Pomona. APEX has joined forces with the Reptile Super Show and Pet Expo USA to bring you the Annual “LA Pet Fair” at the Fairplex in Pomona (home of the Los Angeles County Fairgrounds)
Attendance to the LA Pet Fair is anticipated to easily exceed 10,000 people over the two-day event. A single entry ticket admits you to all three events.
Though this is the first year for APEX, it has a sister show called the Marine Aquarium Expo (MAX) that is now in its fourth successful year at the OC Fair & Event Center. (next show slated for April 2-3, 2011) Here are a few pictures of that event pasted below.

Rules and Regulations in regards to club and/or non-profit organizations:
Just so there are no misunderstandings later, we wish to convey our long-term intentions as show organizers, as it pertains to clubs and non-profits:
10’x10’ booths at the Aquarium & Pond Expo are currently $450 each. However for the sake of goodwill and mutual benefit toward a common goal, we have decided to offer complete booths for FREE to all aquarium clubs and other non-profit organizations that wish to participate. All we ask in return for that donation is two things:
1) Help spread the word about the APEX show, and
2) Present something of general interest for APEX attendees (display, workshop, or sales /trades, etc.)
Given these two simple requirements, our intention is to continue providing a free booth every year to those organizations who helped launch the APEX show during its first year. In other words, help us to create a great show and we will reward you for that loyalty. Those who choose not to participate and “wait it out” are certainly welcome to exhibit with us in the future, however please understand that our incentive offer becomes null and void after June 2010 and you will have to pay for a booth at that time. We therefore encourage your clubs participation and support of the Aquarium & Pond Expo.
