i found out what was making the clicking noise at night when i was talking to the guy at aquatica in tinley park it turns out there is a mantis shrimp in there. i need to get it out of the tank but not sure how to lure it out to catch it. also when and if i do get it out what should i do with it? the reason why i dont want it in the 24gallon nano is because it has 2 really nice onyx clownfish in it. i picked it up used a week or 2 ago for cheap but there is alot of pests that i gotta get rid of that i didnt see when i bought it.

how much would i be able to sell it for?
i guess i will have to make my 2.5gallon into a small salt setup with a piece of live rock and a powerhead just to keep it in till i sell it.

Depends on the species but many people on here would give you at least $20 for it. Not a ton of money but every dollar counts.

i cant find it but i hear it every night. any one have any suggestions to get it out from hiding so that i can trap it? whenever i hear it i take a flash light and try to find it but never any luck.
i have a mantis shrimp and think they are great i got it free from the lfs where it had run riot in ther coral tank but i have never had any bother with it feed it twice a week and 10% water change evey week as dont run a skimmer in there and have found it will not live with fish altho he is a smasher it killed the neon damsel i tryed to keep it with, it lives in a 60l tank at the min as its only 3" but ill up grade it when i need it

60gal tank no way thats double any mantis needs....

60 LITRE tank. Not 60 gallons. 1 US gal = 3.785 litres. So his tank is only about 15 gals. Might need a bigger tank for that mantis. Just my opinion.
