Yesterday I got a male lg texas with a med. Size parrot a friend of mine gave them to me and said that they have spawned twice but the eggs dissapeared is this possible and will they produce a flowerhorn
 
no but its a start of trying to recreate one it prolly take a min of 2-3 years of line breeding to make a stable gene to call it a flower horn.
 
I believe you'd be on your way to creating some version of Red Texas . . .

Oh definitely, overcoming challenges to get to an end result is the most rewarding part of fish keeping. I just did not want to misguide the op into thinking all there is to breeding RT is cyano/carpintis x blood parrot.

yeah, I hoped I had implied that with the " . . . on your way . . . " :D

either way, I would suspect he would get some very nicely colored fry . . .
