I know that ST are considered the Holy Grail of datnoids. But what do you guys see in NGT? What makes NGT so freaking expensive. I was gonna trade in my 6" black aro for a 5" NGT just because the NGT is rare and expensive. Anyways the NGT is gone, but I still wanna hear what you guys think. I mean, doesn't the fuzzy bars of the NGT make it look unattractive to you?

Also, the poll is bias seeing how I posted it in the arowana section. Click on the link and vote to make things fairer.

Are you kidding me?? The fuzzy bars are what catches my attention! & there beautiful colors!

the NGT is awesome because its different from every datnoid.
Their Gold is shinier, more like a metallic gold and black.
its one of the datnoids you gotta get just to complete or add onto your tigers.
+ the fact that they come from new guinea, living amongside the savs

I haven't had an ST or even seen one, and I'm not someone to choose a dat over any other dat.
They just seem to have a totally different temperment than the IT, NTT, and AT that I have had.
Their mouths are considerably smaller and come to a finer point then the others, where the other dats are gold or silver they are black and were the others are black they are gold.
Seeing that I have had 24 IT's, 7 NTT's, and 5 AT's while I have had my NGT... I have decided that I want to concentrate on my NGT and his well being over my other dats just because I consider him to be my favorite. He is more rare then my others but that's not the reason why he's my favorite, I can't pinpoint a reason other then he was a loner when I had my others.
BTW... I had Chris order me 2 more, if you're still interested give him a heads up and maybe we can get them at a discounted price;)

NGT are nice when stable bright yellow like a bumble bee but dam ugly when not stable just like a dirty tiger

they are not that rare anymore but are not fished as much as the other tigers
