I am planning on putting an over flow and sump on one of my 20 gallon long. These are my ideas. First picture is the 10g sump. The second picture is the sump and the 20g long. If my idea looks awful its because I am a sump noob :D Tell me what you guys think. Thank You!

I say ditch the bio balls and use ceramic media. Model it after the 10g sump on my tank using filter socks and submerged media. It will be the easiest and cheapest sump you will have ever built!

Ok alright :) Ill take a look at your sump :D
 
Looks good to me. I agree on using some sort of ceramic media or maybe Seachem Matrix, you will get more bio filtration out of it than the balls.
