Carapo Knife

Nice. Do you think it's still growing? According to fishbase they get up to 30 inches, which I think it's BS. I think they got the length mixed up between Tigre and Carapo. So I think Carapo will get up to 16 inch max.

BTW, I found a good way to house knives together with other fish. I use 4 bricks as corner bases and a giant rubbermaid lid covering them. Then I put some weight on top of rubbermaid. Punch some small holes on the lid for air to escape. The knife will only hang out below the rubbermaid lid that is supported by the bricks. Other fish will also know that's the knives territory. Still, just one knife per tank.

I'd say that he is still growing; it's been more than a year since I first purchased him, and he's grown about 2" I'd say. And I'd agree that 30" sounds way too far off; I'd agree with 16"-18" or so. Largest I have seen in captivity was around 14".

See, I had a little bridge-like structure in the 150 that he would hide down in, and would snap at anyone that got close enough to the entrance. The problem was at night when he came out, or whenever the light were off, he'd go around picking at who-ever he wanted. Tore off a good amount of scales on the Oscar one night, but his eye, and the tail was all bit-up. That's when I knew he couldn't stay in there any longer.
But x2 with NixMix, any pics? I think I have the right idea, but pics always help, lol. :)

He looks great. Nice looking fish there. I really like them but the current fish I have won't go with that kind of fish.:(
Thanks, and Carapo Knives normally don't do well with most fish, lol.. normally at least, or from my experience with this guy.
