Does anyone think this may be a juvie Amphilophus trimaculatus?
I've been looking @ pix & it looks like he might have some of the same qualities.
ie:
Red chin, & belly area, red eyes, flowerline,barring, no pearls tho.

Care to elaborate?
I only mention Trimac since it's part of the same family as RD/Midas.
I just saw a pic of a yellow base Trimac, & it made me think.

To me the body shape looks wrong for a trimac.

Here's an update on my barred RD.

This one is about 3-4 weeks ago.

& these are a few days ago, I just moved him/her so it's a lil washed out.

Still showing bars so I'm happy!!!
