Well, it has been long enough. I still can't believe I saw his brother right after cleaning his tank and right before taking the pictures for his updates. Here he is in all his glory. Sorry in advance for not getting all the Algae off the tank, but he is not as nice to me as he is with the fish that he shares his tank with. I'll get a video of him next time during a cleaning. I'll also toss up some pictures of his neighbors. Some of the female Platys are 2" long just to give you perspective.

So here is "Junior" in his fully planted community tank. Over 12" long

Great looking fish congrats ! I bet those Platies dont last very long !

Actually, they have. Some of them are 3rd generation which grew up in the tank and some of the large females are 1st generations. I have had the some of the larger ones for almost 2 years. Other then the occasional show off chases where he reminds everyone he is top dog, there is more aggression with the male platys sparing for females and salvini fry jockying for position then from him.

Wow he is a lot bigger then mine (I call mine juggernaut). There faces do look similar. I have thinking about getting a nice female. But you know how selling fish in Las Vegas is.

Just put them both up on the "Amphilophus Connection" Facebook wall. Amphilophus Connection

Thats great you can leave them in with him. I have a RD and i wish i could have tankmates with him but he ate my 6" pleco within 2 hours of placing it in there :-(
