Lots of new fish in 500

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
nice tank and fishes , you should consider an auto drip water change system, its a huge time/labor saver , i don't know how i lived all these years with a big tank wo it.

But I live in an apt :(

There seems to be non believers about it not being sufficient enough. There is a stigma about HOB's, since it is associated with "beginners". This is just my opinion. Since, there is lots of water volume and you keep your water changing regiment. Do what you are comfortable with. Great job!

It works for me. I did the FX5 thing, had 4 on my 500 and 2 Marineland 360's and was the biggest mistake I ever made, sold every last one. Big pain in the rear, way to much maintenance needed, etc. I'm a lot happier with the way things are now :)

Picked up a 15" Ghost Knife, Synspillum, Argentia, Male Festae, Pearsi and breeding pair of Haitiensis :)

First stop was to Milford, OH to pick up my buddy, then off to Cprmikes house to give him some fish, then off to Bedford and met Double Dragon inbetween Bedford and Columbus for the driftwood, then got to Bedford and met BigRich for my two Dats, then to get the Haitiensis, picked up some Haiti fry and Breidhori fry, then stopped at Something Fishy and the owner took us for a tour, he had a TON of fish I wanted but not for sale...yet ;)....had a HUGE Emperor Cichlid that I would have loved to brought home with me, got the Argentia off of him, then went to another fish store I forget the name and got the Ghost Knife, then headed to Columbus to Aquarium Adventure to look around and met another MFK member for a male Festae, then back to cprmikes house to get my syn and pearsi and then back to Milford and then back to my place...13 hour road trip today :)

Just saw this thread.
Nice meetin you on saturday.
Your tank and collection is awesome...... All the cichlids are amazing, I've never even seen so many of the species you have in your tank.
Top notch collection.

thanks again for the driftwood. it's sunk in my reservoir right now. I can't wait to get it in one of the tanks.
