I have heard that DIY tanks usually avoid toughened/tempered glass because it cant be cut or drilled to custom sizes except at the factory where they process it. Maybe thicker plate glass is a better option?

Ok cool, i was reading that tempered was MUCH stronger, but wasnt sure if they had exact sizes you needed. Good luck and keep up the good work and taking pics!

The stand will be closed like that ? No "doors" on it ? ( wouldn't you want to be able to put some stuff ( probably filtration ) under the tank, inside the stand ?
There is a 110G sump inside the stand. It does have 4 doors to be able to service. There will also be a quarantine and hospital tank. I am contemplating should I be installing my Eheim 2217 in there.
I have received the pump already. Should be getting the delivery of the glass this coming week.
Now for some updates.... been bz with lot of things... the room is all done just waiting to get the tank finishekd with and its aall set . Got the delivery of the glass this morning and the tank is in place. The bracing will be done tmrw. Even the overflow boxes and rest of the fittings. The sump will be built tmrw as well.
Now time for some pics
Got most of the stuff done as of today... I had some doubts on my sump, Danf was kind enuf give the ok signal for the sump. I was a lil apprehensive, anyways, we will see how it works out. I installed one more baffle to reduce the waterfall noise in the sump. Hoping my current design works well.
The only thing pending as of now is to fix the Overflow sleeve, build a cover and install the bio media...
