setting up another tank, this one is an 8ft 240 for my kelberi..
question I have is I'm not too keen on bare bottom , would like to see some of your pics on how you hardscaped your bass tanks?
please post pics or links on this thread...

I'm leaning towards a combination coal slag and pool filter sand mix.... anyone currently using? slate or tile bottoms? pro's cons'

Tile has my vote 100%. Easy to keep clean and easy.....well, to clean

Power heads were pointed down to shoot under the tile. I kept a small gap between the tile and the tank bottom. I think it was a 1/4" or less gap.

Here's my 300g with black marble. Unlike Pete, my preventative to keeping poop from under the tile, silicone.

Love the black granite tile sevan!

And damn Pete! HOw many different kelberi do you have? Are those both current pics of the 180g and 8'x32"? Or are the fish jumbled back and forth?

On my 225g im goin partial sand. Not the whole bottom but about 1/2-2/3.

The 180gal is a mixed tank/grow out tank. All the bass are in the 8'x32" for now. I'm looking for a bigger tank so the 8'x32" will be nothing but Kelberis.
