I was forced to downsize due to a tank failure and these 2 big guys need a bigger home.

1st
Papyrocranus afer
(aka: Marbled knife/Reticulated Knife/African Featherfin)
Current size- 15" (slightly arched back due to smaller confines when young) Can get 18-20" if living in a bigger enviroment..
Eats mainly tilapia fillet/market shrimp/eartheworms, basicly meaty foods, but has shown interest in Massivores

Temperment- mean. Has killed cichlids and silver dollars, has gone tow to tow with my 13" big Oscar to a standoff. Would be better if mixed in with bigger fish of equal temperment, needs hiding places(drift wood or 4" PVC fittings work great!)

baby picture of the actual fish.

My bigger (sold) P Afer, but identical in markings, not as long, but THICK! (no pictures, cause mines shy!)

Was happy in a 125- but bigger tanks allow more fish to live with this one!
Consider this knife as an Arrowana that'll live in a 125 for life...But 1 225g or 300G with other grumpy fish would work well

I can get better pics for serious inquiries, but he's living in a 45 tall now and is already stressed out-just started eating after his week long pouting for the abrupt relocation from the 90G that busted a seam.

$120 or best

2nd
Albino Oscar - adult ~2 years old
Only has one eye! Lost it to a bichir early in life, but has never missed a meal. Currently housed in 125g with silver dollars and bichirs.
Current size is roughly 13" but about 2" thick!
Eats... anything but veggies.

He deserves a bigger home that I can currently (safely for other fish) provide.

$25 (but I need to know your planned home)

His good side

His evil side! :naughty:

Thanks for the bump!

I wish I had a bigger tank to put these guys into but my oscar lives in my 125 now, cause at least it wont kill my silver dollar colony that I would love to see mate for real one of these days! My knife does have a tankmate in his cramped quarters, a too fat and happy Raphael cat...too thick skinned for the knife to torment.

about 2333 miles or a day and 13 hr straight through drive.

I wouldn't be able to help with gas either...;)

Bump... or you get to pay more cash when you see this Killer monster knife at Aquarium Paradise!

I still have these 2 monster fish.

You may have to make the journey! If you make it all the way here, I will give you this knife! :headbang2
