I still say b. Rutilus...lol...i agree with ur observations of the round head and eye placement on the head being different than the other species. Ive only owned b. Bagarius HLG and imo its def. not a HLG. It seems to be showing more orange now thats its setteling in like rutilus.

I have to disagree. This looks nothing like the rutilus I had b/c ruti's do not have the heavy freckling that this 1 has. It looks exactly like the HLG's I had.

To the op, how big is it? It's eyes look freakin HUGE compared to its head.

It has round eyes. This rules out everything but HLG and LLG. Given the spots and lack of facial tubercles, this fish is a small and possibly stunted HLG.
