better looking adult male jag or adult male dovii

I know there are some hardcore fish fanatics here, from experience.
If you can keep only one, which one would it be, a full grown jaguar or full grown dovii? Which one would be more owner responsive, glass bangers, and awesome to look at full grown?
 
full grown jag. I'd take an umbee over a dovi any day, and i don't think they look that great to begin with. :)
 
Since i have an adult male jag thats what im going to go with:D It is also more compatable IMHO
 
Dovii all the way. a show specimen would make a jag look pale in comparison. not that i dont love jags as well they are another of my favorites, but the purples and greens and blues of a full grown dovii with natural sunlight hitting it would make most people fall in love. they are outright maniacs once they hit a certain point. some reach that point sooner than others. as far as looks though everyone has their own opinion so i know i cant argue over which is nicer as we all have different wants. but if you look in Conkels book The cichlids of nrth and central america there is a picture of two dovii swimming that look like absolute predators. beautiful as well. check the pics out if you havent already
 
I have seen tons of pics on adult doviis and adult jag, One of my favorite adult male jag is jumbo own by mojo, and an adult male dovii of mojo is another of my favorite. Why does mojo has all the nicest fish?
Just curious what others favorites.
 
I need to try to get some good pix of my jag...I cant seem to get pix that do him any justice.
 
I like dovii but would rather have an umbee IMO
 
for me this cat take's the crayfish in this case.... lol :grinyes: dovii are cool but managuense all the way.... :thumbsup:
