Caught a new pickerel for the 125 today

Northern? What makes you say that?

Check out the stripe through the eye. Northerns dont have that. Also northers generaly have a lil bit more rounded tail.
 
well as far as i know that is a cold water fish so if there is a southern pike or something i would love to know about it where was this fish caught??
 
Looks like a grass is that the same as channel its not a northern thats for sure
