Green Terror Sexing

  • We are currently upgrading MFK. thanks! -neo
yeah there should be some noticeable differences at that size though some are harder to sex than others, male will have irridescent body scales, most likely have design within dorsal fin, and only slight blue spotting on the gill plate, while female will have no design in dorsal, a lot of blue bearding and body scales wont be shiny

well there are always exceptions, just one of these characteristics does not a certain sex make, it is the combination of all these that makes is fairly certain. best way is to take them out and vent them, couldnt really tell from the video but it looked like one of them had a ton of bearding like a female but youd have to post some good pics to tell for sure, most of the cheaper digital cameras have like a sports setting and this is what i use to get shots of my fish, just make sure to clean the glass really well and take pic from a slight angle so there wont be a glare or anything

google? search function on here? all these places will tell you about it, the gist is to take fish out, flip it over and look at its private area will look like Oo for female oo for male, will be kind of hard to see so make sure there is tons of lighting in the room when you do this

Well I tried venting the fish and they all looked the same to me. I'm guessing they are all males but I was able to get some good pics today so here ya go.

yeah looks like its very possible they are all males but i would grow them out a bit longer to make sure, another .5in or so and im sure it will be really clear, and then you will have better grasp of which one looks better and has best personality for you to choose to keep

I read somewhere that the males have a more predominant ridge/bump on their head, I'm not sure if this is true but it could be
