What I'm trying to find is a layout for cutting an 8' X 4' piece of acrylic to maximize tank size while using just one sheet (probably 3/8"). If no one has any plans already drawn up I guess I'll have to go design it myself.

well the first thing that comes to mind is 3 sheets 2x4 (bottom, front, back) and 2 2x2 (sides) Of coarse to need to subtract a bit from a few peices to over lap the edges and this doesn't account for any reinforcement.

I found this one online, but it assumes that you're going to bend the largest sheet to make the front and two sides. It also fails to factor in the lost 1/8" per cut. The hardest part is that it needs to be designed with complete straight cuts for the table saw.

I made this real quick. It is obviously not to scale but with all the notes should make sense.

90 Gallon tank.

4" Wide
31" Deep
15" Tall

I had drawn it up on paper the other day because I'd like to get a single sheet myself and try to make a tank.

Maybe not the dimensions you want but it's about the best I could come up with for a single sheet that would still have good depth and be able to hold monsters.

The side panels will actually need cut a little short since they fit inside but I didn't include that. So more like 30.25" x 15" each...

I can mod it to get more height but you'd lose depth.

Excellent, thanks. This is what I'm looking for. You could easily get by with 1/4" for that tank being only 15" tall. That's only ~$70 for a 4' X 8' sheet, for a brand-spanking-new acrylic tank.

Did you miss a 7or 8 on the wide? Or was the " supposed to be a ' ?
