If I end up keeping one, and it dies of natural causes, are they okay to eat? I wouldn't want anything to go to waste... And I love seafood :) Has anyone eaten other monster fish like snakehead or anything? Our nature center used to keep one, and it was going to be confiscated, so my friend ended up eating it and apperently Mr. Cuddles tasted pretty good lol.

I wouldnt eat anything out of aquarium either.
But in the Northern end of Australia i think they do eat wild jardinis. Its a really bony fish, so poor table fare.

I don't eat fish, I keep them. If i kept pigs as pets I doubt I'd eat pork either. I have a dog and I definately don't eat dog meat, even though it is available.

I wouldn't eat anything out of an a aquarium. As for Aros, they're more bony than meaty.
If you want meat, look into an Oscar. I hear Oscars are in the menus down south Lol Grrrroossss!

One mans Bizzar food is another mans everyday meal. I look at it like this. Some folks are emotionally attached too much to eat their pet. I understand this. But.. can you eat it? Is it gonna be delicious fried with butter and garlic? Of course, its fish. All the ones I have eaten were. Oscar included. I have not eaten Arowana though. But I never seen a fish on my plate that I didnt like.

oscars are good from what i've been told. I couldnt eat something I've kept. But I hear arowana is very good if you can get past it being so bony.
