my friend gave me this catfish,but we are not sure what type it is. I have been told its a hybrid between a redtail and a leopard catfish. its about 23" + very very active . can anyone verify this . thanks in advance .

Yes, a cross between a TSN species Pseudoplatystoma fasciatum (mother) and an RTC (father). It is sometimes called a leopard catfish by sellers.
