I bought a 36" coralife(sp?) That includes one 10,000k bulb and one actinic bulb...I'm going to try it for a week or so, and probably return it for a finnex led fixture.

Not sure I'm really digging the purple look on my tank, but a salt tank at Petco looks great with two 10,000k's and two actinic bulbs...why is that?

I have a 72" 240 g that I am just setting up. I love the aqua illuminations pro lighting but I don't have $1k for lighting. I have been looking seriously at getting 3 x 24" to 36" Orbit programmable led lamps. I would actually mount them front to back. At $400 for all, it would save me about $600 in total.

one in the front and one in the back?

Saw this fixture on my friend's 55gal this weekend and can't believe how bright and dirt cheap they were.

He got them here: http://www.ebay.com/itm/48-58-LED-L...e-Blue-Extendable-/251614533802#ht_1969wt_756
Wonder what PAR is and if they have a 36" version...

Just fyi a single current satellite + at 48 inches is barely enough. Keeps the ends kinda dark. Id do two if you go that route. I have mine hanging above and I think my plants arent doing the best.

They have them in 36" flavor? And if so, is one bright enough per half of the tank?
