Spilirus, cutteri, and chetumalensis are all a part of the same species complex from what I understood. All 3 are pretty similar. My spilirus were able to guard their territory against larger parachromis and Vieja. I think they are perfect roughed for larger CA cichlids.

Very interesting on other experience with spilurum. My previous pair were bullied by Green Terrors and paratheraps.
I have my current group growing out with HRPs. They seem similarly tempered.
