Hi, I am looking for a freshwater fish or crustacean which will be able to eat some flesh off a carcass without eating the bones.
And I'm in Australia so there are limited species

What are you doing that you need fish to clean up a carcass?

Crawfish would do a good job, I've also seen plecos chew on a carcass. Is just be super cautious with an ammonia spike, then what follows as crustaceans are sensitive to the cycling.

If you are trying to clean a carcass dont people use beetles? I mean I know tons of fish would but I think youd have to be more specific whether we are trying to clean say a large animal carcass or something small etc.

Beetles would seem like a better option than a crayfish IMO. I know necro uses dermestid beetles.
