I would say that is a fair price for a brand new tank!! I see people wanting more then that for used ones on Craigslist around me!! But I just bought a nice used one for $75.. so if you look around you can find good deals!!

125g plexi, 6 foot long goes for $300-400, BRAND NEW....Just tank, no stand, $400 is the average around San Francisco Bay Area.............Used, you would look at $100-200............

Its an alright deal. In Ontario big Al's has them new for 279$ without tax, and on the November sale they are 225$. A place called Windsor aquarium has the best deals though, 220's 700$, 180 600$, 150 300$, and 125's are 199$. These are new aquariums as well
