I feed my electric blue jack dempsey (EBJD) Hikari cichlid gold protein pellets as the base food, and brine shrimp, earthworms, and home-raised guppies as monthly treats

Nice diversity in the diet. All my fish only eat bloodworms. I'm thinking about throwing hikari pellets and shrimp to see how they act. They stuff themselves with the worms I am wondering where I can buy bulk.

I try mix it up! But a good staple pellet food like hikari Gold.. There are many others but hikari is what I feed mine and they love it!
Blood worms a few times a week..
There are many other things you could feed him! Like beef heart, Brine shrimp ect..
Feeding a good varied diet along with weekly water changes will give you a good growth rate!
