Water change sunday anyone?

Interesting... My tank is overstocked atm and I was unsure if upping my w/c to 75% or more weekly would be harmful or stressful to my fish. Looks like it is pretty common.

One question though. For those of you that w/c with hoses and faucet systems, how do you rinse out your filter media? Do you just save a 5g bucket for old water to rinse with and let the rest drain?

Yeah that's what I did the last two since I started using my hose system. just half filled a bucket each tank and rinsed the media.

Yesterday was wc day, but had a CPR recertification course after work and got home kinda late, so was kinda bushed. Took the day off today so figured I do it this morning after a good night's rest.....aahhhh

Seems like I'm doing about 2 water changes a day now :). Two days ago was my 30G and other 30G, yesterday was my 5.5G and 75G, and today will be my 20G and 15G. (Hey just noticed, 3000 posts!)
