yup, young Oscars , say less than a year old there dorsal fin, and tail fin to some extent are white fringed, this new growth and not colored up yet. an older oscar does not have this. I would put your Oscar between 7 and 9 months old. and not done with his/her growing spurt.

after about a year they do not get much longer, maybe 1/8" a year? they do get taller and thicker. brutes per say.

Hes in a 75 gallon, I do about 15% water changes a week

Interested to see if you'll have to change this schedule or what...I made a recent thread asking people what they'd recommend water changing on a 90 gallon weekly; some of the answers were like 90% weekly lol.

I'd up the water changes to 30-40% weekly if its just him in the tank. Btw, beautiful looking oscar, they are by far one of my fave fish.
