Deep dorsal fin split on my female. Dont know what caused this was fine this morning, got home from work and this is how she looks. Still no aggression between her and the male.she's active no other signs of torn fins or stress. She and the male have both started eating again. My question is will this tear heal?

That should heal in a few days....could be from aggression from the male or from a quick dash against something...whatever the cause .. fin rips do irk me....I have mine divide because the female literally tears chunks out of the males tail.. In those situations takes a while but he has fully healed thus far from some pretty significant damage .. I do the same in doing just what you're doing by giving a good water change to help things.....
