good idea, will definitely start doing that. I think its worth the $20 investment for the $150 in fish I killed.
Damn ... You must have a ton of bacteria going for that to happen. Don't forget bacteria use up a lot of oxygen and when it's hot or the temp in the water is high you want more oxygen. If you stuck didn't die from o2 problems then maybe gill flukesWell I did it again. Did a water change two nights ago and filled the water above the spray bar on my filter return. Week I got home from work last night and two of my little kels and two of my red heads were dead.
Did a water chem check everything was fine. The fish still alive were gasping for for air and all the MTS where it off the substrate heading to the surface.
My guess is a lack of oxygen killed them. Nothing else looked wrong. I put the spray bar back above the water line and now everything seems to be fine. My last kel and Geo even ate this morning. Anyone else had this problem. I'm starting to think I'm cursed.
Already placed an order to replace them. Starting to get very expensive . I ordered two more red heads and one kel and an azul. Last time I swear, haha
