I was looking at the shape of the fish if it could also be a hybrid of some sort or something:/Looks like a melanistic/piebald rtc..very nice find. This is a first ive seen in a rtc but it makes sense. Im a big fan of color morph specimen, especially large cats

Good point i might have been staring at other cats too much)) im contemplating hard on this one as it could throw off my plan for my stocking big time.)Head shape looks normal to me for the species, as well as what bits of coloration are coming through like the head spotting. The wiskers r worn down/cut so that could throw off the head shape a bit, but i dont think its a hybrid. Just melanistic/pied. The black fins throw off shape, but its just colors playing tricks on ur mind imo lol...id buy it for normal rtc prices maybe a bit more to be nice haha...
Are any more pics available before purchace? The tail looks odd to me but i suspect its worn down as are the wiskers.

I haven't seen them personally though but looks really interesting. Will try to drop by within the week and resist temptation))I've only one before on PCF by a Singapore member: http://www.planetcatfish.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=34131&hilit=+melanistic
Wednesday is probably right but, to be sure, I too would like to see in-tank pics.
