Thanks again everyone. Several hundred made it into the 2-3" range no idea exact count . I don't have any pics of current setups. I'm in the process of replanting the adults tank as I had it pretty bare in order to get the juvies out. I'll snap pics soon.
The tank with the remaining juvies are in is algae covered with PVC hides and a mass of mixed floating plants on top and leaf litter bottom . It's not impressive to look at but it works.
Cool. I was successful in breeding gachuas way back when in a heavily planted 60 gallon. So I was just wondering if your set up was similar. Pictures of the babies would be awesome! Again, awesome work!
that is awesome, just saw this thread. pre ban there was a few pairs around here, but no one new they needed a cooling period. great job! that's what makes this site special, either by accident, trial and error, or long meticulous planning, new ways of doing things are shared, learned, etc..,
i was one of the lucky few to receive some of Devon's F1 generation... I promised DC that i would post photos and journal the progress but i had a lot of personal things come up in my life and i neglected to do so... Devon is a great guy and he's taught me a lot about channa.
I had a group of 7 sent to me and here are some photos of my particular favoritesin chronological order...
