HOLY S#@T! MORTAR DRIES FAST! Mixed a bucket and barely got threw half of the interior before the whole thing started turned into a block on me. Fast, rough work. Next coat will have more thought put in to it!

DIY BACKGROUND FINALLY COVERED! looks a little rough right now but once its covered with substrate, plants, etc. it should look good...I hope! GO BILLS! Apologies are accepted...I was born and raised here...lol

Well...another quick update! Got the first coat of the stump done! Definitely going to do another coat with some brown tints on the tree stump but still trying to decide if I should tint cement for the rest of the background or try painting it??

Anyone know what paint is safe for use inside aquariums. I've heard krylon fusion is but it seems to only come in spray cans. Looking for another option that I can brush on. Thanks for any advice!

I would definitely try a tinted concrete as at least a base color. As far as paint, I'm not sure what your best choices are. You could still use fusion if you sprayed it into a bowl/cup then brushed it on; I'm not sure how well it would hold up on concrete though.
