I currently have three juvenile dovii in a 125 gallon. 2 are around 1.5 in and the other is around 2.5 in. The largest chases the others into hiding 24/7 and never let's them come out, but looks like a female? Has anyone heard of a super aggressive female dovii or is this most likely a male?

Not that they are the same species but when I first got my jags this happened to me, as juvies the female was bigger and would beat up on the male but after a month or so tables turned then they fell in love the end

Ps both same age

Give them hiding spots and you should be fine. Since they are new to the tank they could be working out the pecking order. At 1.5" - 2.5" it's going to be very hard to sex them.

Throw in a couple 3-4 inch africans as dithers...that can possibly lesson the aggression between the Dovii trio
