He's having trouble turning around and the tank is 3 feet front to back outside dimentions. I'm guessing right at 3 feet + or - an inch.

Actually I have been worried about that. A scared 20 pound rip saw cat fitting through a small opening in the tank is going to be interesting....Wow! Think you might even have a hard time getting them out! Thats when you do upgrade
